Located on the 1st floor and reporting directly to the Practice Manager. This position has 2 components; Registration Supervisor & Patient Intake Supervisor. 1. Clinical Care Supervisor is responsible to manage, provide guidance and direct the daily work flow of the 1st Floor Clinical Affairs Staff. The staff at the first floor reception desk are responsible for registering new patients for all treatment centers in GSDM as well as direct the patient to the correct treatment center. Candidate must be able to effectively mentor the staff, provide cross training and support a team centered environment, as well as implement changes necessary to the growth of our business operations. Works in conjunction with the Predoc Practice Manager in assisting with the interview process, staffing concerns and disciplinary issues. Will provide backup to the Practice Manager to include: overseeing and documenting staff issues, addressing patient concerns, ensure full chair utilization in clinic schedules, running Salud reports (unauthorized p-notes, missing notes & open sessions), screening appt status reports, income reports, attend meetings and any other operational items that may arise. 2. Patient Intake Supervisor directs patient access to BUSDM through outside phone calls, in-person encounters, internal referrals and Student Discount Program registrants. Provides in depth knowledge of BUSDM's processes and policies to prospective patients. As first point of contact, the position requires excellent customer service skills, broad-judgment, independent thinking, and problem solving. Also provides support and direction to BUSDM faculty and staff. 80%-90% of all calls will be resolved on the first call. Expectation to schedule 500-600 new patient appointments per month. Strong keyboarding, written and verbal communication skills are necessary.


Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree required and 1-3 years' experience. Supervisory experience preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills in English required
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, providers and staff while protecting patient confidentiality and demonstrating courtesy and respect.
  • Demonstrated skills in service excellence including active listening, problem solving and ability to remain calm in emotional situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply good judgment in resolving problems independently while following department guidelines.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well as part of a team with all levels of personnel including, management, physicians, practitioners, and staff.
