Reporting to the Associate Director of Graduate Enrollment Operations, the Assistant Director for Graduate Enrollment Operations plays a crucial role in supporting Boston University's 17 schools and colleges with graduate and professional admissions within the Technolutions Slate CRM. This position serves as a primary point of contact for assigned schools/colleges, providing expert operational support, training, and guidance on leveraging Slate to optimize recruitment, application processing, and communication throughout the admissions lifecycle. The Assistant Director collaborates closely with the Graduate Enrollment team, school/college admissions staff, Information Services & Technology (IS&T), and other university stakeholders to ensure effective utilization of Slate and contribute to the achievement of graduate enrollment goals. This role emphasizes operational efficiency, user support, and training within the Slate system, rather than deep technical administration.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., higher education administration, business administration, or similar). Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., higher education administration) preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience working in an operations role in graduate admissions or an enrollment management unit.
- Technolutions Slate CRM experience
- At least 3 years of experience working with Slate CRM, including configuration, management, troubleshooting, and training.
- Working understanding of Slate CRM, including campaign management, application processing, forms, portals, dashboards, workflows, rules, and reporting functionalities.
- Experience with system optimization, customizations, and workflow improvements within Slate.
- Technolutions Slate certification or related professional development is a plus.
- Experience providing training to end-users.
- Familiarity with database management and data integrity best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve operational issues and process improvements.
- Knowledge of data management best practices and FERPA regulations related to student data privacy and security.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including admissions staff, faculty, marketing and communication teams, and IS&T. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical users. Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
