Sponsored Programs is part of the Office of Research, a group dedicated to aiding the research community in navigating the lifecycle of their work, from finding funding to creating proposals to helping inventions find their way to the public.
The Assistant Director will serve as a primary point of contact for CARB-X Pre-award responsibilities. This role will collaborate closely with the CARB-X team, SP Special Projects team, senior leadership, central offices, and Funders to represent Boston University and support the CARB-X program. This role will manage two senior CARB-X Research Officers in support of CARB-X. The Assistant Director will be called upon to manage special projects ad hoc.
Major duties of this position include:
- Execute, manage, and contribute to projects and initiatives that will be part of our new endeavor.
- Implement and distribute training guidance related to sponsored research for central and departmental staff and faculty.
- Provide support during ad-hoc projects. Generate surveys and dashboards in support of initiatives and needs.
- Assist with managing and maintaining Sponsored Research web pages and support the SP blog and SP communications (internal and external).
Required Skills
- Work experience: 5 to 8 years required.
- Education experience: Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
