The Administrative Assistant will report directly to and support the Program Director of Prosthodontics and will also be responsible to provide administrative support to the Program Director of Esthetic, Digital and Operative Dentistry.
This position will assist with calendar management and scheduling of meetings, classes, events; recording minutes at meetings; drafting and proof reading of correspondences; supporting faculty in the teaching activities of the Prosthodontic and the Esthetic, Digital and Operative Dentistry Programs; ordering and receiving supplies, maintaining order related records, reconciling payments; making travel arrangements; assisting with the management of the patient treatment centers.
The individual must exercise initiative, independent judgment and discretion in arranging meetings, maintaining appointment schedules and disposing of requests for information.
Required Skills
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree plus 3-5 years of experience
- Previous experience working in an academic environment would be desirable
- Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
- Intermediate computer skills that include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and databases

- Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, manage competing demands
- Ability to identify problems/issues, critically thinking through problems (gather and analyze information skillfully) and presenting potential solutions in a timely manner
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, remain open to others' ideas with willingness to try new things
- Must be able to successfully collaborate and work in a team environment while also being an individual contributor
