Job Description:

Purpose:  Responsible for various shipping, inventory and customer service activities at the Quinnesec Mill.

Key Accountabilities: 

·         Shipping activities

»   Monitor carrier pickup dates & ensure timely order completion

»   Manage daily (truck) loading schedule for mill and off site warehouse

»   Manage Daily (rail) loading schedule

»   Interact with sales, planners, Load Center on truck-related issues

»   Export paperwork preparation

»   Manage loads to be brought back from off site warehouse

»   Manage return loads for skid load back hauls

»   Verify rail billing on a daily basis

·         Inventory activities

»   Interface with local warehouse on Inventory reassignment & disposition, ensuring FIFO inventory picking, expediting loads, procedural & system questions, problem resolution

»   Mill inventory transactions

»   Physical inventory participation

·         Participate in weekend coverage requirements

·         Provide backup coverage for the pulp planner

Required Skills

Required skills: 

Minimum Required Skills:

·         Strong analytical and problem solving skills

·         Strong computer & system experience

Preferred Skills:

·         Knowledge of order management functions (scheduling, inventory, shipping)

·         Knowledge and use of applicable systems/applications:  OptiVision, SAP, Excel, Cognos

·         Excellent  oral and written communication skills
