Die Setter 1st Shift Internal Transfer

Die Setter  (Belleville 2 Transfer 1^st Shift – 2 Openings)

To help us drive excellence, you’ll get to: 

·       Evaluates production set-ups to ensure that quality requirements are met.

·       Sets up dies, fixtures or assemblies in accordance with MIOSHA standards and company procedures.

·       Troubleshoots equipment failures and problems with appropriate personnel.

·       Sets press to optimum speed and feed of machine according to type of operation, specified material and finish to improve and maintain machine efficiency.

·       Maintain accurate and complete production and quality records.

·       Operators a press in operators’ absence when needed.

·       Starts machine to obtain first run work piece and verify dimensional tolerances.

·       Performs routine and preventative maintenance and setup including, but not limited to, die setting/fastening, machine lubrication, tools utilized include handheld pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, die bars, etc.

·       Recommend adjustments to processes and equipment to produce a product that meets company standards and customer requirements.

·       Reports equipment failures and unusual sounds or actions while operating equipment. Fill out necessary work orders and/or PCA’s (Process Change Authorizations) when needed.

·       Monitors press for proper operation and report any malfunctions or problems to supervisor and maintenance.

·       Coordinate and pre-stage all necessary items for die change.

·       Set up and program new jobs on initial run.  Fill out proper paperwork and turn it in to Supervisor.

·       Assists engineering personnel in testing and evaluating new dies.

·       Evaluates data and conducts experiments to develop application of new equipment or improved techniques, procedures or practices.

This Full-Time, hourly role and reports to the Production Supervisor.
