- Understand and adhere to all safety guidelines as required by OSHA and specified in the AUTOKINITON mechanical/electrical standard (BMES) document.
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot equipment and assist maintenance personnel with production equipment repair.
- Must be able to read, use, develop, and modify electrical circuit drawings and schematics and maintain equipment drawing packets.
- Must be able to use tools and equipment to fabricate brackets and fixtures for controls related projects.
- Basic understanding of PLC programming principles and techniques with consideration for operator and equipment safety.
- Understands various controls communications protocols and be able to identify the proper communication driver and cabling for establishing an “online” “device to device” or “device to programming terminal” connection.
- Basic understanding of HMI programming principles and related software packages.
- Understand robotics programming, hardware and be able to integrate manipulators and controllers with production equipment.
- Understand and adhere to wiring standards as specified in NFPA 79 (NEC) code books and use “best practices” for wiring equipment.
- Will periodically backup Robot, HMI, and PLC programs.
- Understand controls related sensors and other misc. hardware and be able to specify and procure components for projects.
- Must be able to organize work to adhere to specified time constraints.
- Performs all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, ear plugs, etc.)
- Keeps work areas clean and orderly.
- Participates in continuous improvement activities.
- Able and willing to work any shift assigned, weekends and overtime
- Regular and predictable attendance required
- Assumes other duties as directed by supervisor
Required Skills
- Responsible for reading and understanding the IATF16949, ISO9001:2015 and ISO-14001procedures located at K:/winapps/data/TS Team/Quality System Documentation
Education and/or Experience:
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
