Fabricator (Travel Required – 10%)

Pay: $27–$34/hr + Overtime + Per Diem

AUTOKINITON is seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our Axis Engineering team in Grand Rapids. This is a full-time, stable position with competitive pay, strong benefits, and career growth, plus the chance to travel (10%). Per diem is provided during travel.

What You’ll Do

·         Fabricate, weld, and repair large metal components and machine parts

·         Perform MIG/TIG/arc welding, brazing, cutting, and grinding

·         Troubleshoot and repair damaged or worn components

·         Read and interpret blueprints to layout and build assemblies

·         Conduct inspections and ensure quality meets specifications

·         Use cranes and rigging equipment safely

·         Perform welds in all positions (flat, vertical, overhead)

·         Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability

What You Bring

·         5–7 years of fabrication experience in an industrial setting

·         Strong welding skills across multiple processes

·         Ability to read blueprints and work to tight tolerances

·         Experience with heavy equipment, rigging, and repairs

·         Solid understanding of materials and fabrication methods

·         A safety-first mindset and strong attention to detail

·         Willingness to travel up to 10%
