To help us drive excellence, you’ll get to:
- Directly supervise all tool room personnel for the most favorable costs and quality workmanship.
- Maintain the established maintenance program that successfully cares for all tools to prevent quality and productivity problems.
- Maintain tool improvement program that is data driven and successful in providing ongoing improvement related to die and tool performance.
- Analyze machining and tooling problems and coordinate corrective action.
- Provide instruction and guidance in the use of tool room equipment.
- Performs all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, ear plugs, etc.).
- Performs assigned Audits on time (LPA, Safety Focus and Near Miss, etc.)
- Maintains harmonious employer/associate relations among those within the department.
- Performs activities of associates supervised.
- Punctual and regular attendance is required.
- Able and willing to work any shift assigned.
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality in all duties.
- Keeps work areas clean and orderly.
- Participates in continuous improvement activities.
- Conform to TS 16949 and ISO 14001 standards and procedures.
Required Experience
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Tool and Die knowledge
- Machining knowledge
- Basic Microsoft Word, Excel application use
- Team development skills
Education and/or Experience:
High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in Tool and Die or similar related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
