Quality Manager
RESPONSIBLITIES:
The following job/task functions have been identified as the core functions of this position. However, the Quality manager may assign additional duties associated with this position.
- Support the Company’s mission, vision, values and goals in the performance of daily activities.
- Provide key input into the development of the department’s strategic business plan along with identifying and tracking key measurable to support the business plan goals.
- Responsible for performance feedback and leadership of all direct reports including mentoring, coaching, counseling and corrective action when situations dictate.
- Ensure product and process compliance to customer and IATF 16949 requirements.
- Develop standardization for the Company and plant policies and procedures.
- Provide direction and leadership to department associates consistent with plant business plan goals.
- Develop and drive implementation of a progressive quality system to prevent defects and exceed customer expectations and achieve customer/quality awards (ex. IATF 16949, Q1, etc.).
- Develop and drive implementation of all quality policies and required operating procedures and work instructions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Management or Business, appropriate ASQC certification or equivalent experience. Master’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum eight (8) years in Quality Engineering / Quality Assurance and two (2) years of management experience.
- Knowledge of quality tools, practices, systems and corresponding integration.
- Excellent procedure development and writing skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced team environment.
- Ability to mentor and teach the team effective problem solving.
- Experience in applying lean manufacturing concepts.
- Proven leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills.
This full-time, salaried onsite role leads our Quality team at the Holland, MI facility and reports to the Plant Manager.
