To help us drive excellence, you’ll get to:
· Work with the various departments to help maintain an emphasis on internal controls.
· Identify areas of risk and recommend measures to mitigate financial, operational, and other risks.
· Assist in the development and implementation of internal control policies and procedures.
· Participate and support departments/personnel in developing new or modified policies and procedures to provide effective process governance.
· Promote internal controls being built into processes as part of their design versus identifying issues after process implementation.
· Support the development and maintenance of process risk and control metrics/audit programs.
· Conduct internal control assessments/audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls.
· Prepare and present written audit reports and communicate the results/control deficiencies to applicable management.
· Review corrective action plans to address audit deficiencies and ensure management understands and supports the actions. Use these actions to help drive “best practices” throughout the organization.
· Collaborate with departments to train staff in internal controls and compliance procedures.
· Contribute to the development of risk management strategies.
· Participate in special projects related to internal controls and risk management, as requested by management.
This full-time salary-exempt role is a part of our corporate finance team and reports to the Director of Internal Controls and Compliance.
Required experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent experience required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) a plus.
· Zero to three (3) years’ experience in internal audit, internal controls or accounting.
· Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
· Excellent analytical skills: able to identify and question assumptions and analyze problems.
· Ability to influence organization decision-making and to work effectively with various departments in the Company.
· Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
· Ability to read and write in English and perform mathematical calculations.
· Ability to travel (domestically) up to 30%.
