Position Summary:

The Forklift Driver is to safely and efficiently operate lift trucks of various sizes and hand trucks while meeting the needs of the facility.  The forklift driver will load and unload trucks, trailers, and/or railcars as required.  The forklift driver will move parts, product, and other items to the proper storage area.  They will deliver and pick up production parts to and from the production area as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Safely and efficiently operate lift trucks, hand trucks, and tuggers

·         Load and unload trucks, trailers, and railcars as required

·         Support production by delivering and picking up part to and from the production area

·         Responsible for receiving, verifying, storing, issuing, and shipping various supplies, materials, and equipment to designated areas

·         Complete the appropriate paperwork associated with the position

·         Verify the contents against purchase orders and invoices; prepare reports and record receiving reports on all production merchandise

·         Communicate with various levels of management, customers, and suppliers to assure requirements are met

·         Interface with management, customers, suppliers, and transportation drivers to resolve any potential issues that arise and make sound decisions based upon meeting the customer requirements

·         Communicate with and assist in the supply and storage of parts, goods, supplies, and other materials

·         Assist with inventory counts, locating product, & identifying product
