Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance and installation of machines, tools, and equipment and in maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates

This full-time role is a part of our Maintenance team and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor 

Required experience:

  • Responsible for reading and understanding the TS16949 and ISO-14001 procedures located at K:/winapps/data/TS Team/Procedures
  • Ability to read electrical/pneumatic schematics.
  • Ability to read blue prints.
  • Strong analytical abilities.

Required Skills

  • Reviews job orders to determine work priorities
  • Schedules repair, maintenance and installation of machines, tools and equipment to ensure continuous production operations
  • Develops preventative maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff
  • Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
  • Confers with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
  • Enforces MIOSHA and L&W Engineering safety regulations.
  • Capable of performing activities of workers that work has been assigned to.
  • Requisition tools, equipment and supplies required for maintenance operations
  • Establishes or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules
  • Reviews work orders for each significant piece of information
  • Assure work order has approval and authority
  • Prepare weekly schedule, facilitate weekly scheduling meeting
  • Facilitate maintenance activity with production
  • Prepare daily schedule for maintenance supervisor (without assigning personnel to job)
  • Enters work orders into QMS, Originates follow up work orders when needed
  • Maintain integrity of PM program (checklist, frequency, compliance, schedules)
  • Establish and maintain equipment history
  • Coordinate special programs (ladder inspections, equipment surveys, establish routes)
  • Identify recurring maintenance problems
    • Maintain maintenance key performance indicators for department
    • Kitting components required to complete planned work
    • Assist with adding/organizing items to tool crib.
    • File press PM’s
    • Able and willing to work any shift assigned
    • Able and willing to work with Maintenance Technicians to achieve technical training.
    • Punctual and regular attendance is required
    • Keeps work area clean and orderly
    • Participates in continuous improvement meetings as directed
    • Assumes other duties as directed by supervisor
