Job Overview: Atlas Van Lines is seeking an organized and detail-oriented candidate to join our IT team! This position will be responsible for implementation and maintenance of various components of the Atlas IT Infrastructure Systems including phone system, servers, storage, cellular/mobile devices, virtualization, Active Directory, and Microsoft O365/Azure services.

 

This position will also be responsible for the support of end users including problem solving hardware/software issues and ensuring systems are secure. This role will report to the Director of IT Network Services and will plan/implement projects independently.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and tests
  • Troubleshooting malfunctions
  • Repairing and replacing any failing hardware or software components
  • Maintaining equipment inventories and evaluating new equipment and techniques
  • Maintaining performance of all systems to minimize downtime and ensure responsiveness
  • Leading departmental projects of a complex nature
  • Ensuring security is not compromised
  • Communicating status, following standard project management principles, cost analysis, tracking, manpower requirements and budget
  • Implementations should result in no adverse impact to users.
  • Providing support necessary to all in-house users, agents, and subsidiaries to be highly productive
  • Correcting user’s issues not handled by the HelpDesk and escalating when appropriate
  • Providing initial training and support documentation for system usage, login, and selected advanced are of need
  • Assisting the Director of IT Network Services in developing annual plans and monitoring the progress toward the plan including making adjustments as appropriate
  • Aiding in the development of activities
  • Documenting service and installation actions connected to Atlas World Group Inc. Systems
  • Anticipating activities planned in other departments and subsidiaries with emphasis on excellent service and necessary function at low cost
  • Coaching and mentoring team members as appropriate
  • Backing up, archiving and verifying data backups to ensure system or file data recoverability as well as any other periodic operational activities
  • Participating in the testing of the Disaster Recovery plan to restore infrastructure

 

Employment Type & Hours: This full-time position will consist of 40 hours per week. Hours fall between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with occasional overtime.

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policies, Telephony Administration, project management, spreadsheet and word processing software
  • Excellent communication skills
