Position Responsibilities:

• Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts
• Organize and send invoices for approval
• Prepare and post monthly credit card statements for approval and coding
• Ensure bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
• Complete and file monthly Use Tax returns for various states
• Review existing accounts payable workflow processes
• Complete year end procedures timely and accurately, including preparation of 1099’s 
• Process employee reimbursements, per diems, and any other necessary expenses
• Process checks and ACH payments that are due for payment
• Responsible for month end AP reporting 
• Comply with all internal reporting requirements
• Maintain business relationships with suppliers

Required Skills

• Proficient in Excel
• Knowledge of Viewpoint and Crystal Report Writing is preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively, multi-task and be a team player
• Ability to take initiative and provide oversight

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field is required
• 3-7 years of experience working in accounting or related field
• Experience in the construction industry is preferred
• Sales and Use Tax experience is required
