Position Responsibilities:

• Assist with sourcing, negotiating prices, and the buying of goods, materials, and services
• Generate PO’s and/or revise PO’s as needed
• Assist the Purchasing Manager with fabrication documentation, such as drawings, cut lists, and shop releases
• Support the team with purchasing reporting and material settlement invoice payments through accurate validation

Required Skills

• Ability to communicate professionally in both verbal and written format
• Strong analytic skills and accuracy to details
• Ability to read and understand plans, shop drawings and specifications required
• Ability to identify structural steel materials
• Strong computer skills

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent or 1-3 years of structural steel purchasing or 5-10 years of structural steel fabrication experience
• Experience with Viewpoint, Fabsuite and Bluebeam preferred
• Experience Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
