The Manager, Commercial Contracts, will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end contracting life cycle process for executed contracts supporting the commercial management of Vafseo. This includes the setup and maintenance of contracts, membership management activities, and processing rebate invoices. The scope of contracts administered by the group includes but is not limited to, GPO, Specialty Pharmacy, Wholesaler, Service Fee, and Dialysis Organization contracts.
The Manager will ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of these executed contracts and will also interface with internal stakeholders to aid in tracking the impact of various pricing initiatives, established, and forward looking, to the applicable segment areas.
This role resides in the Commercial Operations team within the broader Commercial organization. The role reports to the Sr. Director, Market Access & Commercial Operations and will have direct interaction with various key internal stakeholders including Accounting, FP&A, National Accounts, Data Analytics, Legal and other departments as needed.
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Ability to understand complex and varying types of rebate and service fee contracts
- Advise on strategic and operational impacts to the business
- Ensure efficient and compliant life cycle management of contracts and amendments
- Support the preparation and adjudication rebate invoices and chargebacks to ensure accurate and timely payments to customers
- Work with our customers to track and resolve any payment discrepancies
- Coordinate with external and internal stakeholders, including 3rd party rebate processors and 3PL
- Support key company controls including the preparation and validation of the monthly data reconciliation of transactional sales data
- Maintain systems and tracking logs for contracts and invoice processing
- Support maintenance and development of Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions
- Support ad-hoc activities related to contract administration and execution
- Support accurate and timely deliverables for management and other stakeholders, including but not limited to forecasting, accruals, rebate trend analysis, and monthly and quarterly close activities
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required (equivalent work experience may be considered)
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical contracting lifecycle management
- Experience with Microsoft Office products required (Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook, and Visio)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Dialysis / Renal and National Accounts experience
- Knowledge of advanced Excel techniques such as VLOOKUP, SUMIF, goal seek, pivot tables, and data importing, etc., are greatly desired
- Excellent communication (written, verbal, and presentation) skills required with ability to interact with all levels of leadership
- Exceptional time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and effectively handle multiple priorities independently, demonstrating a high degree of initiative with minimal supervision
- Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Capable of working effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
Compensation:
Targeted Base: $121,136 - $149,639*
*Base Compensation for this role will depend on a number of factors including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. Base pay is only one component of the company’s total rewards package, all regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or the incentive compensation program (if applicable), as well as equity. Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, etc.
