Responsibilities:
- Provide daily guidance and supervision to equipment mechanics, ensuring all maintenance tasks—both planned and unplanned—are carried out safely, accurately, and efficiently.
- Collaborate with planning, operations, and engineering teams to establish daily job priorities, adjusting the mechanical workforce as necessary.
- Ensure proper procedures and materials are utilized in equipment repairs.
- Oversee equipment disassembly in the field or shop to assess condition and recommend repair scopes that balance reliability with cost-effectiveness.
- Partner with the reliability engineering and predictive maintenance (PDM) teams to identify design improvements and analyze common causes of equipment failures.
- Communicate with the operations team to integrate broken equipment into the work schedule and allocate mechanic resources based on urgency.
- Collaborate with the planning team to ensure mechanics receive adequate support from other trades to optimize job efficiency.
- Coordinate with suppliers and repair shops to source specialized materials, replacement equipment, and repairs.
Required Experience
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Over 15 years of experience in maintenance or mechanical work related to rotating equipment.
- Proficient in troubleshooting, disassembly, evaluation, and repair of natural gas engines.
- Experienced in troubleshooting, disassembly, evaluation, and repair of multistage high-speed reciprocating compressors, rotary screw compressors, and rotary vane compressors.
- Experienced in troubleshooting, disassembly, evaluation, and repair of various types of pumps, including centrifugal, jet, positive displacement, diaphragm, rotary, submersible, gear, and rotary pumps.
- Strong knowledge of design and failure mechanisms of key components in internal combustion engines and high-speed reciprocating compressors.
- Deep understanding of design and failure mechanisms for various pump types.
- Knowledgeable about how process conditions, installation methods, and operating procedures influence pump and compressor performance and reliability.
- Capable of making sound technical recommendations based on limited information and within tight deadlines.
- Committed to maintaining a strong safety culture.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Valid driver’s license is required.

$110,000.00
Maximum Salary
$140,000.00
