Regional Partnership Manager (Military) - Graduate and Professional Admissions
Administrative Professionals
Reporting to the Executive Director of Online Graduate and Professional Admissions, the Regional Partnership Manager - Military (RPM) represents APU to prospective military students and partners in the region and works to promote APU’s graduate, professional, online, and undergraduate programs. The RPM creates and implements recruitment strategies to reach prospective military students through visits, events, referrals, networking, and outreach efforts. The RPM establishes and maintains strong relationships with military partners in the region, providing them information, resources, and tools to create a steady referral of prospective students. Significant travel is required with an average of 45-60 visits per month. This position is fully donor-funded and contingent on donor funding.
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree
- Master’s degree preferred
Required Experience
- Two to four years of experience in recruiting, sales, or marketing.
- One to two years of work experience with the military and veteran population is preferred.
- Veteran and military-connected background.
- Conversational in multiple languages preferred.
Primary Duties/Essential Functions
- Establishes and nurtures relationships with military bases, veteran organizations, schools, community colleges, businesses, and service providers in the region
- Collaborate with the Executive Director, Military & Veterans Center related to recruiting military-connected students and admission experiences in the Military and Veterans Center
- Continually enhances networking skills and program knowledge in order to promote a positive image in the field
- Sets appointments with key decision makers throughout the region at organizations as mentioned above in order to build interest and IQ volume for APU programs
- Identifies bases, clubs, organizations and contacts that have connections with our target military audience
- Utilizes CRM to track and update partner records and leads
- Develops an in-depth knowledge of graduate and professional program offerings and how they relate to student and partner needs
- Meets and exceeds monthly goals for partners, leads, and new students
- Creates an individual recruitment plan for each semester that includes recruitment activities, events, conferences, and fairs, as well as communication with prospective students and networking opportunities
- Completes weekly activity report to include documentation of recruitment/outreach activities, visits, and appointments
- Develops and updates a database of prospective military students and contacts with whom workshops, information sessions, and visits can be booked
- Participates in monthly online Military & Veteran Education Benefits Workshop to connect with prospective students
- Stays current with dynamics and demographics of the region. Evaluates viable target areas to reach right- fit students
- Collaborates with our growing alumni network to develop new student and professional networks and garner student referrals
- Attends training sessions to receive updated information about new programs, services, requirements, etc.
- Meets/exceeds lead generation goals for each term and analyzes trends to improve performance
- Serves as part of a team and takes direction well, must be a strong independent contributor to a team

- Fluency in Spanish is a plus

Technologies
- Proficient in Google Apps., Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
- Knowledge of Salesforce/Slate and Peoplesoft is a plus
Compensation

Grade 11: $28.53 to $32.81 is the hourly compensation for this role and reflects what Azusa Pacific University reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on the qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition to compensation, APU offers a competitive benefits package.
