Program Coordinator (Part-time) - College of Nursing and Health Sciences
Administrative Professionals
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Three to five years of administrative experience.
- Four years of experience in a client-based, service-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex priorities and systems.
- Worked well with team members across multiple campuses.
- Higher education experience preferred.
- Oversees and plans department recruitment, organization, and advising activities and direct advising of students needing guidance.
- Coordinate and submit course schedules to the Registrar in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with the Registrar any schedule changes in the Program.
- Interface with other departments in the university.
- Coordinate meetings and provide administrative support to the chair, program directors, and faculty of the department.
- Coordinates and facilitates special events for the department.
- Coordinates IDEA requisitions each semester.
- Manages correspondence with students.
- Manages social media, department website, and other communication with the community.
- Oversees program schedule, calendar, and reservations.
- Oversees the management of assisting faculty in various tasks.
- Oversees undergraduate program orientations, new cohort launches, student matriculation documentation, and graduation and alumni events.
- Manages the hiring logistics for all new adjuncts. Manage correspondence with both adjuncts and faculty.
- Manages the faculty contracts by semester and interfaces with Human Resources and Payroll to ensure they are completed promptly.
- Records minutes in faculty meetings.
- Oversees the service and maintenance of all program resources, and assists in purchasing resources as needed.
- Oversees the essential day-to-day office functions: monitoring paperwork, answering email and the telephone, distributing office mail, maintaining office files, ordering office supplies, processing mailings, and duplication.
- Regular, punctual attendance as required by the supervisor based on department needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Some program and school activities/assignments may include evening and weekend hours.
- Manage sensitive and confidential file systems in both digital and physical formats.
- Responsible for daily electronic timekeeping as it applies to the scope of this position.
- Regular, punctual attendance as required by the supervisor based on department needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Demonstrates the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines while working in a service-oriented environment with frequently changing priorities.

- Able to pull, push, bend, grasp, reach, and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Able to use stairs or ramps as needed in executing job duties at university facilities.
- Reading, writing notes, and computer monitor.
- Pleasant office setting, a comfortable temperature.
- Above-average software skills in Google Apps (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Hangouts, etc.) and Microsoft Office proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets.
- The school uses PeopleSoft, 25Live, Zoom, Adobe Acrobat, HelloSign, Canva, Formstack, Zendesk, Teaching Assignments Management System (TAMS), etc.
- Grade 7: $19.49 to $22.41 is the hourly compensation for this role and reflects what Azusa Pacific University reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on the qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition to compensation, APU offers a competitive benefits package.
