The Title V Administrative Assistant will be responsible for directly assisting the Title V Project Director to provide administrative support for the implementation of the Title V Grant.
 
This position is partially grant funded.
 
 Required Education
  • Bachelor’s degree.
 Required Experience
  • General clerical/receptionist experience; ability to work independently on complex clerical assignments, office operations, purchase orders, budget management, data collection.
  • Experience coordinating tasks associated with monitoring and program evaluation.
  • Grant administration preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

Primary Duties/Essential Functions

  • Provide clerical support for the APU Title V project, including carrying out all general office duties, and maintaining financial and other records.
  • Create and maintain records, safeguard the integrity of personnel, office, and participant files in accordance with FERPA, APU, and other project guidelines.
 Skills
  • Strong word processing and keyboarding skills of 50 wpm with high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong clerical, telephone, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate exceptional multicultural competence.
  • Must be well organized, detail oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Must be able to keep information confidential.
 Mental Demands
  • In agreement with the purpose and goals of Azusa Pacific University in providing a Christian-based higher education for its students.
  •  Physical Demands
  • Requires repetitive motions on keyboard.
  • Telephone usage-hearing and speaking.
  • Ability to lift, pull, grasp, bend to lower file drawers, and reach to top of 5-drawer file cabinet.
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds occasionally.
 Visual Demands
  • Computer monitor and reading.
 Environment
  • Pleasant office, comfortable temperatures.
 Technologies
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Apps, as well as online virtual platforms.
  • Proficiency with PeopleSoft and Stellic preferred.

Compensation

  • Grade 6: $17.72 to $20.38 is the hourly compensation for this role and reflects what Azusa Pacific University reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on the qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition to compensation, APU offers a competitive benefits package.
