- Prepare and teach 12 units per semester.
- Participate in mentoring and academic advising of students.
- Participate in department and university affairs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Chair.
- Integrate Christian faith in all aspects of instruction.

- Desire to be available on campus to mentor students in their coursework.
- A commitment to teaching excellence in an undergraduate, liberal arts program.
- A demonstrated, vibrant Christian faith compatible with the mission of Azusa Pacific University (Faculty members are required to sign a “Statement of Faith,” available at http://www.apu.edu/about/believe and to adhere to the policies outlined in the Faculty Handbook.).
- Evidence of teaching excellence is desired.
- Prior experience in integration of faith with the discipline is preferred.
- Workload of 24 units per academic year is required. Typical workloads are 4 courses per semester.
- Open until filled (anticipated start date, August 16, 2025).
- Ability to integrate Christian values in all aspects.
- Ability to engage in critical thinking and exercise independent judgment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage confidential information.
- Ability to collaborate with other faculty and staff and maintain collegial relations.
- Self starter, ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form.
Compensation
- $68,640 to $125,460 is the annual salary for this role and reflects what Azusa Pacific University reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on the qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition to compensation, APU offers a competitive benefits package.
- Compensation will be based on experience, rank, and qualifications.
