Position Description

Position Summary:
The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for assisting in managing and maintaining an accurate inventory on all components and material stored at Bracco Medical Technologies (BMT) in accordance with our ERP system, Quality System, Standard Operation Procedures (SOP), Work Instructions (WI), and Bills of Materials (BOM) in all inventory stocking locations (warehouses, production locations, off-site storage locations, etc.) which maintain inventory controlled by BMT.  This includes tracking of all incoming and outgoing inventory as needed to maintain accurate inventory levels in SAP, reconciling discrepancies, adjusting stock counts, and maintaining accurate records. This individual must be highly organized and detail-oriented, as accuracy and timeliness are essential.
 
This role will also be responsible for assuring all SAP transactions are completed in an accurate manner and reporting on the accuracy of the inventory state as required during cycle counts and year end physical inventory counts.  Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy while assisting/completing of other warehouse functions in material retrieval, inventory receipt processing, inventory shipping and overall inventory storage organization and optimization of all inventory storage locations. They will also work with the warehouse and shipping leads in the identification, documentation, analysis, and resolution of problems related to inventory accuracy and storage. Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives related to all inventory processes including but not limited to inventory storage, material flow, tracking systems and ERP systems that contribute to inventory accuracy.
 
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
• Lead product and inventory control investigations
• Assist in organizing the raw material inventory warehouse, performing stock rotations etc.
• Facilitate initiation and completion of cycle counts
• Maintaining and updating required inventory levels for capital goods, finished goods, and raw materials
• Lead in the development and implementation of Inventory Control SOPs & WI
• Monitoring and analyzing inventory losses and implementing inventory loss reduction programs
• Preparing relevant reports and communicating status 
• Audit Receiving and shipping processes to identify Inventory Control gaps in current processes
• Count and verifying percentage of received material to ensure receipts are accurate to packing slips and Purchas Orders
• Understand and follow storage requirements for all finish goods and raw materials from an inventory control focus
• Identify Shipping, Production and Receiving inventory control issues, communicate identified issues to Warehouse Manager and work with Warehouse, shipping and production leads to prioritize and address identified issues
• Required to understand receiving process, warehouse processes, and shipping processes
• Wil perform receiving, warehouse, and shipping duties as needed during high work flow periods or during work force shortages

 


Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

Minimum
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years material handling and distribution process experience including, inventory control, shipping, picking, and inventory management. 
• Experience with physical and cycle count programs, inventory control best practices & inventory shortage investigation procedures
• Moderate level of computer proficiency including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and ERP Systems and database systems
• Possess good mathematical, reading and communication skills
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP’s), ISO regulations, and Quality Systems as it pertains to shipping, inventory control and warehouse picking operations for Medical Device Manufacturers
• Demonstrated ability to follow inventory control processes including problem solving inventory variances
• The ability to maintain accurate documentation (e.g., record traceability information onto routers, and transact materials online)
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to maintaining positive interpersonal relationships and foster cooperation within and outside the department
• The physical ability to lift and package assemblies up to 50 lbs
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to read and interpret variety of SOPs and WIs, with minimal instructions.
 
Preferred: 
• Experience with SAP
• 5 - 7 years medical device material handling and distribution experience
• Demonstrated experience utilizing hand trucks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment
