Position Description
Position Summary:
The Marketing Business Analyst role is a highly analytical and results-oriented position within the marketing team. In this role, you will leverage data-driven insights that shape business strategy, inform portfolio decisions, optimize go-to-market strategies, and contribute to the long-term growth of the business.
This role will require experience in data & analytics with the ability to define actionable insights based on the data. In addition, this role will require the ability to communicate complex data succinctly and visually. Drivers for success in this role include being business-minded, curious, and having an innovative mindset.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
· Data Analysis & Reporting: Gather, analyze, and interpret internal and external data to uncover trends and insights that drive marketing strategies.
· Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct thorough industry and competitor analysis to inform strategic marketing initiatives.
· Market Modeling: Develop and manage market models for existing businesses and new businesses.
· Customer Segmentation: Partner with marketing to create and implement segmentation strategies to enhance personalization and improve targeting efficiency.
· Opportunity Assessment: Collaborate with the strategy & portfolio planning team as well as cross-functional partners (marketing, sales ops, finance, and product development) to develop deep analyses and recommendations for new business opportunities.
· Commercial Optimization: Offer data-driven recommendations to refine commercial strategies and tactics.
· Innovation in Analytics: Introduce new tools and methods to improve the accuracy and efficiency of marketing analysis.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

Minimum
· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, or related field.
· 5+ years in marketing/business analytics. Experience working with large bodies of data and commercial teams.
· Proficiency in data/analytics, visualization and CRM platforms such as Excel, Tableau, PowerBI and Salesforce.com.
· Excellent problem-solving abilities and a deep understanding of turning data into actionable insights.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to synthesize important insights from complex data sets.
· Proven success working within cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
Preferred:
· Advanced degree in analytics, statistics, or related fields.
· Experience with healthcare claims data.
· Proficiency with project management principles.
Other:
· Ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 10% annually)
