(FFR), Cardiovascular Imaging contrast delivery (CVi), and CT and MRI contrast
delivery systems.
Position Description
As a Product Engineering Co-op, you will report directly to the Product Support Engineer and work with the Product Support Team on medical devices used by interventional cardiologists to:
- develop service instructions and procedures,
- build internal test devices,
- analyze product repair information, and
- group brainstorming/problem-solving sessions.
Projects may make use of skills including using state-of-the-art test equipment, researching scientific and clinical literature, executing testing, preparing reports, technical writing projects including the development of service instructions, helping to make training videos, and other opportunities to support the development of new products from a service standpoint.
Training to be Provided
Students will be exposed to working with various operations and product support departments within Bracco Medical Technologies (BMT). They will learn key requirements that need to be followed in a regulated environment such as the medical device industry. Training may cover relevant aspects of medical device development procedures, along with more specific aspects related to BMT products.
Additionally, our co-ops benefit from a buddy program, career development programming, and opportunities to build their professional networks virtually and in-person with BMT professionals.
Term/Hours
- Spring/Summer/Fall of 2025 start, 2-3 semester rotation, can be consecutive or non-consecutive semesters. Jan/May start dates are preferred, but other start dates will be considered.
- Hours: 40 hours per week
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
- Engineering student enrolled in Engineering Program focused on biomedical, mechanical, electrical or computer engineering through sophomore and junior year coursework.
- Moderate to high level of computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
