The AV/VTC Production Engineer designs, integrates, operates, maintains, and supports enterprise audiovisual (AV) and video teleconferencing (VTC) systems supporting conference rooms, executive briefing centers, training facilities, live events, and virtual/hybrid environments. The role provides hands-on technical expertise for AV/VTC systems, live event production, system integration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization while working closely with customers, IT teams, executives, and vendors.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·      Design, configure, integrate, operate, and maintain enterprise AV/VTC systems and collaboration environments.

·      Support live events, executive meetings, town halls, training sessions, webcasts, conferences, and hybrid events, including live switching, audio mixing, recording, and camera operations.

·      Configure and support Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Cisco Webex, Poly RealPresence, and related VTC technologies.

·      Configure and maintain DSPs, control systems, cameras, microphones, displays, video switchers, projection systems, LED displays, and other AV equipment.

·      Develop signal-flow diagrams, equipment layouts, and AV-over-IP network configurations.

·      Troubleshoot complex audio, video, network, codec, connectivity, interoperability, and hardware issues.

·      Perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, system monitoring, and lifecycle replacement planning.

·      Support video editing and post-production, including Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or comparable tools; experience with visual storytelling, motion graphics, and multimedia production is desirable.

·      Train end users and provide technical guidance to customers and stakeholders.

·      Coordinate with IT teams, vendors, and distributed field offices to ensure reliable AV/VTC operations.

This position requires full-time on-site support.

Travel may be required to support customer needs.


Required Experience

Requirements & Qualifications:

·      Requires a high school diploma/GED and a minimum of ten years of experience supporting AV/VTC environments comparable to a large enterprise or government organization. Formal technical training and/or further education (AA or BS) are a plus and may be substituted for some experience requirements.

·      Strong hands-on experience designing, integrating, operating, and troubleshooting enterprise AV/VTC systems.

·      Experience supporting live event production, including cameras, video switching, audio mixing, recording, and webcasting.

·      Experience with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Cisco Webex, Poly RealPresence, or comparable VTC platforms.

·      Strong knowledge of AV signal flow, DSPs, control systems, video switching, displays, cameras, microphones, and AV-over-IP technologies.

·      Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex audio, video, network, connectivity, and interoperability issues.

·      Experience developing system designs, signal-flow diagrams, equipment layouts, and technical documentation.

·      Strong communication and customer-service skills, with experience supporting executives, customers, IT teams, and vendors.

·      Ability to work onsite and support time-sensitive events and operational requirements.

·      Experience supporting federal government or large distributed enterprise environments.

·      Experience supporting geographically dispersed facilities or field offices.

·      Experience with Blackmagic video production equipment is desired.

·      Experience with Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Wondershare, motion graphics, animation, or visual storytelling is desired.

·      Relevant AV, VTC, engineering, networking, or audiovisual production certifications are desired.

·      Must be able to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.

·      Must obtain an agency public trust suitability determination prior to start date.


Minimum Salary

$110,000.00

Maximum Salary

$130,000.00
