The Marketing Cloud Solutions Consultant is senior role with a knowledgebase that extends the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform with RRD’s core offerings of Strategy, Insight, Inspiration, and Interaction. The Solutions Consultant will focus on email campaigns and programs that will support a multi-channel digital strategy.


The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Solutions Consultant will be expected to possess functional knowledge of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform, have experience defining and documenting business processes and system requirements for email clients, possess project management skills, and collaborate with implementation teams to ensure successful delivery of projects.


The Solutions Consultant is a problem solver who can bridge the gap between complex business problems and enabling marketing technology. Required Skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Sales and Account Management resources to scope and solution opportunities
  • Assume sales consulting leadership for specific opportunities, including serving as a SME in the sale of RRD solutions into new opportunities (e.g., RFP’s)
  • Gather, analyze, translate and document detailed business/functional/user requirements following Scrum methodologies
  • Create technical documentation and user requirements/project documents including Business Requirements Document (BRD), Functional Design Specifications (FDS), Wire Frames and test cases related to solutions
  • Analyze client data structures for email related subscription information and event information (i.e. new subscription, abandoned cart)
  • Play a major role in the design and implementation of strategic email campaigns
  • Strategic planning of transactional triggers and email marketing programs
  • Coordinate with PM to manage the implementation of assigned system projects
  • Effectively communicate technical issues in non-technical terms to the business unit
  • Investigate options to solve business problems and meet business needs
  • Assist in application configurations, integration and acceptance testing
  • Work with stakeholders and conduct user interviews to assist in building strategies
  • Perform gap analysis to determine impacts of the future state requirements on systems
  • Monitor and recommend enhancements for existing client email programs


Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Develop sales material to aid the business development process
  • Provide service/technology specific solution consulting via project engagements
  • Continuous improvement via explicit enablement path including RRD services and technology platforms
  • Provide guidance to RRD executive leadership regarding positioning and marketing the RRD brand
  • Provide functional solution deployment support during implementation and post-implementation phases of projects


Required Experience

  • 10+ years’ experience in a marketing strategy, business development, and/or account management capacity focused on data-driven insights and marketing (e.g., CRM, Email, Online media, Offline media)
  • 3+ years’ experience in a consultancy/agency capacity
  • Ability to present and discuss how Precision Dialogue solutions can meet the 1:1 marketing needs of Fortune 1000 CMO’s or VP’s of Marketing
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Email Service Provider (ExactTarget) experience
  • Experience with relevant marketing technology platforms
    • Business Intelligence: Tableau, Power BI, Domo
    • Web Analytics: Google, Adobe, Heap
    • Automation: Marketo, Pardot, Eloqua
    • Commerce: Demandware, Magento
  • Undergraduate business degree required - Master’s degree preferred
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills
  • Consultative selling acumen
