Postdoctoral Fellow - DNA replication mechanism - Lab of Huilin Li, Ph.D.
Van Andel Institute (VAI), a leading independent biomedical research facility, is dedicated to determining the epigenetic, genetic, molecular and cellular origins of cancer, Parkinson’s and other diseases, and translating those findings into effective therapies. The Institute is home to more than 200 scientists and support staff that work in on-site laboratories and in collaborative partnerships that span the globe.
Research topics in the Li lab include eukaryotic DNA replication, the bacterial proteasome system, and several membrane enzyme complexes involved in protein glycosylation or bioenergetics. The lab uses advanced technologies such as cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM), protein crystallography, molecular biology, and other biochemical and biophysical tools.
- Recent Ph.D. with publication(s) in the fields of biochemistry, biophysics, structural biology, or other related fields.
- Applicants with previous postdoctoral research experience may be considered for the Research Scientist position.
