Technical and subject matter specialist applying professional general engineering knowledge and concepts in support of initiatives associated with electrical maintenance, repair, and modernization of U.S. Navy surface ships

  • Resolution coordinator of technical and material problems related to designated, electrical power generation, electric motors, lighting circuits, distribution circuits, distribution panels, switchboards, diagrams, blueprints, and auxiliary control shipboard electrical systems.
  • Provide expert advice on electrical maintenance, safety and repair of all power generation systems.

Required Skills

  • Detailed knowledge and expertise of Naval administrative and correspondence policies, instructions and regulations required.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and other database management tools and software, specifically, with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently, attention to detail, and superb customer interaction
  • Experience using Navy and DoD travel processes and online systems and Naval message writing software
  • Candidate must have an active security clearance and be able to obtain a CAC


Required Experience

  • Eight years of related military (Retired E-7 or higher)
  • Eight years of Naval Electrical Safety experience (EM A school)
  • Electrical Plant Control Console Operator Qualification (EPCC)
  • Motor Rewind School / Certification
  • Preferred Engineering Training Team Qualification (ETT)
  • Preferred qualification for non-military OSHA Electrical Safety Training Course, Navy Small Engine, Motor Controller, and Power Panel repair experience.
  • Experience using Navy and DoD travel processes and online systems and Naval message writing software
  • High School Diploma required, Associates degree preferred.
