Part Time Instructor, Multimedia Graphic Design - Larimer Campus


This is a part-time, temporary position with no benefits except Colorado State retirement, PERA.



Preliminary screening will be made on the basis of completed application package submitted by candidate. Completed application package includes:

  1. A letter of interest detailing experience as related to the position;
  2. An eForm application, resume;
  3. A copy of transcripts;
  4. A one-page statement of your teaching philosophy.


All candidates, including current Front Range Community College employees must submit a complete application packet which includes all material listed above. Only completed application packets will move forward for screening. If hired, official college transcripts will be required. Please review the job duties and minimum requirements carefully. All qualified candidates will remain in a talent pool for future consideration and may be considered for online and/or Larimer Campus classes. 


We are looking for part-time faculty to teach in a variety of multimedia areas: Graphic Design, Web Design, Video/Sound Production, Multimedia. Applicant should have industry experience and prefer BA/Masters degree.



  • Teach all assigned classes.
  • Distribute a course syllabus to each student in every class. Inform students of all course requirements, course evaluation procedures, attendance requirements, make-up examination policy, and related course procedures.
  • Meet the class at the assigned time in the assigned room.
  • Conduct regular evaluation of student’s progress.
  • Maintain accurate performance and attendance records and submit required reports on or before the deadlines.
  • Assist students with study problems and with evaluating their potential for successful achievement in the course or discipline.
  • Communicate with the department chair regularly.
  • Maintain professional, ethical, and legal responsibilities, i.e., FERPA, copyrights, etc.

Required Skills



  • A related associates (or relevant current industry license or certification) and 4000 verified occupational/industry hours within 7 years;
  • OR, a related Bachelor's or any Master's degree with 18 discipline related credits and 2000 verified occupational/industry hours within 7 years.

    Related Degree, Credential, and/or Occupational Experience in:  Engineering degree (Mechanical, Civil, or Architectural), Engineering Graphics (Architectural, Civil, and Mechanical) certificate or degree, Engineering Design Technology certificate or degree, Engineering Technology certificate or degree, Computer Aided Drafting certificate or degree.



  • Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred

Required Experience


  •  Must be able to get a CTE credential in teaching area; 4,000 hours in related area within the past 5 years
