This position works directly with individuals and families seeking assistance with their winter heating costs and other social service needs. The Assurance 16 Case Manager will identify high energy users and promote energy saving measures with the goal of reducing overall energy load.  Responsibilities include completing intake and eligibility for TVCCA’s Energy Assistance Program, Eversource Matching Payment Programs including Low Budget Worksheets, the NewStart Program, and Operation Fuel.  In addition, this position will supervise a team of Energy Temporary Workers and provide necessary training and skill development. This position requires knowledge of social service supports as well as an understanding of household financial management, including the ability to facilitate energy conservation based financial literacy workshops. This position also will provide case management services to TVCCA clients during the energy off-season


Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Service related field plus one year of related experience, or Associates Degree plus three years related experience.
  • Strong communication skills, bi-lingual a plus.
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Access and Publisher).
  • Possess a valid driver’s license, good driving record and access to daily, reliable and insured transportation
