Position Summary:  The Accounts Receivable   Representative is responsible for solving problems in a timely manner;   gathering and analyzing information skillfully; and developing   solutions.  Duties include managing the   denials received from carriers, correspondence related to AR resolution, and   monitoring/managing the process for aged accounts receivable accounts.

 

Essential   Responsibilities

1.

Models   behaviors related to CareSpot’s values (Compassion, Authentic, Respect,   Empower).

2.

Responds   to requests for service and assistance and meet commitments in a timely   manner.

3.

Prepare   reports related to AR balances and aged categories

4.

Follows   process to resolve denials received from insurance carriers and governmental   payers and prepares claims for resubmission

5.

Provides   correspondence in response to denied claims; tracks progress until closed

6.

Tracks   A/R aged reports and executes procedures to reduce balances

7.

Performs   other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Education: 

  •   High School Diploma

 

Experience: 

  •   Billing and Coding certificate or 1 year of billing experience within   a healthcare facility or insurance      company
  •   Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience

 

Additional   Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  •   Ability to relay information in a positive format
  •   Ability to work efficiently in a team or solo environment
  •   Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment
  •   Proficient with practice management software and overall knowledge of   MS Office
