Technical Analyst 3
Technical Analyst 3 (R. R. Donnelley & Sons Company, Lancaster, PA): Work with internal clients, business analysts, and Quality Assurance team members to build, enhance, and support a complex business applications. Participate in all phases of systems life cycle and providing onsite support and coordination during all phases of SDLC. Have hands on experience in onshore/offshore delivery model. Serve as the primary liaison between the onshore and offshore teams. Understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions that are aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organization’s architectural standards. Design, develop, test, implement, maintain, and support applications and systems software. Participating in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy vs. build recommendations. Apply CMMI processes and standards. Reverse engineer, and understand concepts and solutions implemented in proprietary product with minimal guidance. Analyze complex technical requirements and make recommendation for modifications of existing application or building a new application. Independently analyze and document functional use cases to ensure that it meets the business requirements. Develop existing or new applications using C++, C#, .NET, JAVA, TALEND, HP Opentext and SQL. Apply structured programming techniques adhering to coding standards and participate in development walkthroughs. Develop system and system integration test plans; develop system test data and performs system, integration, parallel, and stress tests for projects on need basis; coordinate system and system integration testing; assist quality assurance testing teams. Provide input to peers, offshore leadership team, and project managers/leads, and internal clients for recommendations and alternate solutions and/or improvements. Convey and ensure the understanding of technical strategies and vision to project participants. Convey problems, solutions, project updates and statuses to the stakeholders. Prepare technical design documentations and test plans for the projects assigned. Ensure that the scope and intent of the design architecture is clearly reflected and accounted for in the supporting documentation. Prepare disaster recovery documentation. Assist in writing on-line help manuals, user manuals, operations documentation, and FAQs for specific software projects. Prepare sound time estimates for all phases of technical projects. Function as technical resource on appropriate projects throughout the full project lifecycle. Develop and maintain project plans. Evaluate estimates against actual occurrences. Actively participate in post-implementation review.
Employer requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related experience in software application development.
Must also have four (4) years of experience in each of the following:
- T-SQL and XML;
- Development experience with C#, .NET, JAVA, TALEND, SQL;
- Experience in onsite/offshore coordination of project teams.
Must have two (2) years of experience in each of the following:
- Experience working with both Linux and Unix platforms;
- Experience with financial industry applications;
- Experience in building workflow systems for large enterprises.
Employer also requires three (3) years of experience with HP Opentext Extreme.
