Shenandoah University’s Eleanor Wade Custer School of Nursing is accepting applications for a part-time Clinical Placement Coordinator and full-time Lecturer/Assistant/Associate Professors of Nursing – All Specialties. The positions are to begin in August 2020.  The full time, benefited positions will work out of our Winchester, Virginia and/or our Leesburg, VA campus. The part-time clinical placement coordinator will primarily work at Leesburg.

 

The faculty positions involve teaching primarily in the graduate nursing programs but may also be needed in undergraduate courses as well. Additional responsibilities include scholarship and service, with clinical supervision of students. All specialties of nursing will be considered. 

 

The Eleanor Wade Custer School of Nursing at Shenandoah University is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and the Accreditation Committee for Midwifery Education (ACME) The University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). The School of Nursing is comprised of almost 500 students with programs at the BSN, RN-BSN, MSN, DNP levels and post-graduate certificates. Graduate specialties include Family NP, Psychiatric Mental Health NP and Nurse Midwifery. The school has three physical locations, with the main campus in Winchester, Virginia and additional sites in Loudoun County, VA- Scholar Plaza and Fairfax, VA at the INOVA Center for Personalized Health – ICPH.


Required Skills

Qualifications for Clinical Placement Coordinator: BSN degree

 

Qualification for Faculty Positions: Doctoral degree preferred, graduate degree in nursing required. Those close to completing a doctoral degree will be considered. National certification as an FNP, PMHNP, and nurse midwife are required for graduate specialty programs. Candidate must hold or be eligible for an unencumbered Virginia RN license and must be eligible to work in the United States. Teaching and scholarship experience preferred.
