Position Overview:

This position provides an excellent opportunity for job training in Commercial Irrigation System maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.

 Job Responsibilities

·         Assist experienced service technicians with digging, trenching, and other labor production as needed.

·         Loading and unloading of tools and materials as directed.

·         Learn to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with all aspects of commercial irrigation systems to ensure proper and efficient operation.

·         Learn to program, diagnose, and repair irrigation control boxes.

·         Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and within deadlines.

·         Maintain accurate records of scheduled work and materials used.

·         Plan, coordinate, and collect needed equipment and materials each day.

·         Attend and participate in crew and department general and safety meetings.

·         Safe driving of company owned vehicles with or without trailers to transport crew members to job sites.

·         Maintain cleanliness of assigned truck, trailer, and equipment.

·         Some general administrative work as assigned.

·         Use of company tech devices and platforms for communication

·         Daily start up and shut down procedures.

·         Maintain job quality as well as site relations and communication with clients, contractors, and/or sub-contractors.

·         Communication with Account Managers and Production Managers about job progress and planning.

 Pay/Benefits Package

• $16 - $20 hourly pay

*Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis
*Ability to bend and stoop on a continual basis

*Must wear sturdy shoes, company uniforms, and assigned PPE

*Must have valid NC Driver's license and maintain a good driving record (CDL preferred)
*Must be able to pass a criminal background check
*Must be willing to obtain NC Pesticide applicators license
*Must have good communication skills and ability to motivate others
*Must comply with Bland's policies and procedures
*Must be able to pass a criminal background check

Job Requirements

·        Safe operation of equipment including mini-track loaders, compact excavators, trenching machines, track loaders, boring machines, pipe cutters, power washers, and hand tools.

·        Safe operation or electrical diagnostic equipment including valve locators, multi meters, and fault finder tools.

·        Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and approval to drive on Company Insurance.

·        Positive attitude, solid work ethic, punctuality, dependability.

·        Adhere to company uniform and all safety policies.
