Kitting Coordinator* 2ND SHIFT
KIRK RD - Coordinate assigned manufacturing operations with the objective of maximizing the productivity of quality products while minimizing costs. Ensure that all processes are being followed in the completion of work tasks. Provide instruction and guidance to employees and audit work processes and products to confirm production specifications are met. Coordinate assigned operations, and stocking of supplies and raw materials. Maintain and updates daily production records and produces reports as necessary. Ensure that safety procedures are followed by all employees.
Perform a wide variety of tasks to ensure a timely flow of production and assembly activities. Compiles and maintains information to expedite the movement of materials according to schedule and priorities. Locate, coordinate, and expedite the flow of kitting materials, in-process materials, and components within the kitting department. Verify and maintain documentation. Coordinate materials through appropriate channels. Provide information to various departments regarding status. Apply knowledge of department policies and procedures, and utilizes a general understanding of other departments' functions. May be responsible for data entry, reporting, checking or verifying information, generation of reports, and responding to data requests. Responsible for maintaining department files. May assist with production planning and special projects.

Skill in reading specifications and identifying the correct parts for fulfilling customer orders. Excellent knowledge of routine and non-routine packing procedures, techniques, equipment, and basic warehouse procedures. Skill in using a limited variety of packing procedures and techniques. Knowledge of shipping documents and ability to identify shipping requirements and procedures for specific items using manual or automated processes. May require skill in using heat sealers, cutters, hand and power tools. Ability to complete manual and computerized forms and shipping documents regarding stock description, units of issue, weight, quantity, and labeling requirements outgoing materials and equipment. Requires basic arithmetic and standard formulas to determine size and volume of packing containers and materials. Ability to assemble standard shipping boxes and packing contents securely.
- 2-5 years work history in a manufacturing environment required; experience in printing environment preferred.
- 2 years experience in a supervisory or lead capacity directing the work of others.
- Computer experience required.
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
- Must be able to lift, pull and push up to 60 pounds frequently.
- Must be able to bend, reach and turn frequently.
- Must be able to stand and move about the facility
