Family Liaison/ Community Outreach Worker will be responsible to assist with the coordination and  process of recruitment, enrollment, and placement of children in the program. Enroll and maintain required enrollment and average daily attendance figures.  Complete all necessary paperwork and comply with all OEC, NAEYC, DCF, and School Readiness guidelines. Oversee the promotional portion of a recruitment plan with a team approach with the Little Learners management team, having direct contact with clients, staff and community partners. Responsible for recruiting and completing intake application process for potential eligible families. Provide direct services to center based families, which include social services, health, and parent involvement. Must have compassion and understanding for the needs of children and families from economically and culturally diverse backgrounds.

$20.00 with Associates $21.00 with Bachelors Degree

 

 


Required Skills

  • A. Degree in one of the following; Social Work, Human Development & Family Relations, Psychology, Sociology and Applied Sciences or related field preferred with one year related work experience; OR Associates Degree in above or related field with three years of related work experience.
  • Must possess strong data management and computer skills, including the ability to learn and utilize relevant software programs.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Must have flexibility to work evenings and weekends for community events as needed.
  • Provide a TVCCA Staff Statement of Good Health statement signed by a physician, physician’s assistant, or nurse practitioner completed within twelve (12) months before the date of employment, and every twenty-four (24) months thereafter.
  • Provide a written report of negative tuberculin test completed within twelve (12) months prior to the date of employment, or for a known prior reactor, no evidence of active tuberculosis on a chest x-ray.
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Possess a valid driver’s license, good driving record and access to daily, reliable and insured transportation.
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Spanish speaking preferred.
  • Continue professional development per funding.
